Free/Reduced Cost Child Care
E Center Head Start Programs
Assists children and famiies to prepare for success in school and in life, with an emphasis on school readiness, learning to play with other children, eating a variety of nutritious foods, and developing healthy habits. Family income is a factor in determining eligibility.
State Preschool Programs
Offered through local school districts and contracted independent centers, state preschool programs provide part and full-day programs to prepare children for success in life and school. Family income is a factor in determining eligibility.
Private Pay Programs

Resource and Referral
Children's Home Society of California (Child Care & Development Services)
Child care information and referrals to family child care home providers and licensed centers, education/resource library, parenting workshops, and technical assistance to child care providers.
A family must submit an Eligibility Questionnaire (EQ). Once CHS receives the EQ, the family's information is placed into the Eligibility Management System, which stores information about families waiting for child care assistance. As funds are available, CHS enrolls families according to the admission priorities set by the California Department of Education.
Hours are Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
