Professional Growth Advisors

Professional Growth Advisor serves as your mentor to assist you with setting goals to upgrade your Child Development Permit. The advisor discusses activities that will contribute to your competence, performance, or effectiveness as an early childhood educator. The advisor verifies you have completed your professional growth activities.

Please note:

  • Professional Growth Advisors are volunteers from the ECE field and do not receive reimbursement of hours spent with advisees
  • Only those volunteers who have been trained can serve as a Professional Growth Advisor
  • You may request to see the Advisor's verification of training
  • Professional Growth Advisors and their advisees meet on their own time
  • Advising can be done face to face, over the phone or by email. A face to face meeting must be scheduled in order to complete a plan
  • Professional Growth Advisors may choose to accept or decline advisees
  • The advisee may also choose to change advisors if they wish
